Choose Amazon for your Baby Registry Needs

There are so many different stores that you can consider while deciding on a baby registry. For me a universal and easy to use registry was most important when considering where to choose. Now while you could have multiple registries with different stores that can become confusing. I recommend choosing one registry to be your main focus!

Why Choose Amazon?

Amazon is very widely known company that offers thousands of items for you to choose while shopping from the comfort of your home. Amazon offers a universal registry which means you can add items to your registry from any store! While adding items consider checking out the reviews from other buyers. This is one thing I love about amazon. They have some many reviews on products from real buyers. Amazon baby registry is a universal baby registry that is easy to use and comes with some amazing perks.

Amazon Registry Perks

One of my favorite perks with the amazon registry is that once $500 worth of items are purchased from the registry you become eligible for 20% diaper purchases for your babies first year! This is a huge savings alone! Amazon offers a completion discount of 10% off.

Prime Member Perks

With having an Amazon Prime account you receive additional registry perks! Not only will you receive free 2 day shipping on most items but there is more! With a $10 purchase made off your registry you become eligible for the free welcome box. (read more on the welcome box and more freebies here) For your completion discount you will receive 15% off up to two purchases.

Return Policy

For gifts you receive from your registry they are good for 365 day return policy. Items you purchase your self from your registry qualify for a 90 day return policy! Having a long return policy is so nice because you never know if your going to get a duplicate or end up not needing some items.

Creating your Baby Registry

Some say that you shouldn’t put expensive items on your registry so you don’t look greedy but hey if you want them why not put them on. If no one buys those items you can save money by getting them your self with the completion discount. Amazon also allows others to help contribute to the larger items. So you could have a could people pitch in on your larger items. I recommend putting anything and everything you want on your registry. This is the time to share with your friends and families the items that they can get for you. Don’t focus on just baby items, get the items you will need also.

Car Seat and Stroller

1. Infant Car Seat: I recommend getting the Graco Modes Travel System.Having an infant carrier makes things so much easier when you first have your baby. I loved my infant carrier but when your child gets to the point where they can sit up with support that is when I would switch to the Convertible car seat. This stroller also will grow with your child as it offers many different positions for your child to sit in.

2. Double Stroller: If this is your second child or you want to plan for the future the Graco Uno2Duo Travel System is a great priced double stroller

2. Convertible Car Seat: Graco 4ever 4 in 1  Is the car seat I have and it is a great car seat. Plus you wont need to buy another car seat! This goes from 4 to 120 pounds.

3. Car Seat Canopy: Stretchy Car seat canopy is a nice canopy that will stay around the car seat with no worries about the wind blowing it around.  The hanging car seat canopy: Thicker and can have a peek hole or slit to look in at baby. I love both types of canopies. I recommend getting two so if one gets dirty you can switch them out

Diapering

1. Diapers: Huggies Little Snugglers are great for when they are little.  Once the child starts moving I recommend Huggies Little Movers. You will only need one to two small packages of newborn diapers. Put more size 1 then newborn on your registry. Size 1 and 3 were the diapers that we used the most of.

2. Wipes: Pampers Sensitive Wipes Super think and durable wipes that are easy on babies delicate skin. Water Wipes are really nice wipes if your looking for a more natural non chemical wipes.

3. Diaper bag with Changing Mat: I love big diaper bags with lots of pockets.  This diaper bag will also strap on to your stroller. If your interested in a backpack diaper bag this one is large and perfect!

4. Trash can with lid if you absolutely want a diaper pail go with Playtex Diaper Genie. Be prepared to change very regularly or it will start to smell though

5.Diaper Rash ointment: Aquaphor Baby Diaper Rash Cream. By far the best rash cream.

6 Wet bag: Great to take on the go in case your little one makes a mess you have a bag for their dirty clothes.

7. Portable Changing Mat: I love this potable diaper changing mat! Not only does it help to keep the germs off my baby while changing in public places it also has pockets to store wipes and diapers while folding up nice to make portable.

7. Diaper Organizer: This is an amazing diaper organizer that will hold your diapers, wipes, along with many different side pockets for creams and such

Bedding

1. Mattress

2. Waterproof Mattress Cover: This is a must to keep your mattress nice and clean!

3.Crib: I recommend getting a crib that can change into a toddler bed then also into a full size bed this way you won’t need to buy more beds as your child gets older.

4. Crib sheet: Aden+Anais makes amazing crib sheets. I would put a few on your registry.

4. Swaddle Blankets: I absolutely love Aden+Anais muslin swaddle blankets Put a few packs of these on your registry. These are large swaddle blankets and can be used for a couple of years

5. Swaddle Sack: Swaddle sacks offer a saver version of a blanket while being able to swaddle your newborn. Aden+Anais has great swaddle sacks. I also really like the swaddle sacks from Nested Bean.

6. Sleep Sack: Having a sleep sack is great for when your baby gets older and no longer needs to be swaddled. They also provide a safe way to keep baby warm while sleeping without using a blanket.

7. Soft Cuddle Blankets I am a blanket lover and feel you can never have to many. I would get a few of these.

8. Security Blanket This is a life saver little ones love these and it really helps to comfort them.

9. Bassinet: I love having a bassinet in my room so baby can be closer to me for the first couple months and it makes night feedings so much easier. This bassinet is a great bedside bassinet that swivels and turns.

10. DockATot: The DockATot is a great baby lounger and co sleeper.

Health and Safety and Bathing

1. Baby Monitor: I used the Owlet Baby monitor system and absolutely loved it. It is a little more expensive then other but to me the features make it well worth the money. You can talk to baby through the camera, monitor the room temp, along with baby’s heart rate and oxygen.

11. Baby detergent One or two of these containers will last you a while

4. Changing Table: This changing table is also a dresser. I love the amount of storage it provides while also saving room with it being the changing table also! This will also grow with them as they become toddlers through childhood.

6. Changing Pad

7. Hangers

8. Drawer Organizers: These Drawer organizers help to get your dresser nice and organized. If there are extra ones use them to help organize your closet.

5. Hamper

Toys and Books

Having a couple of each toy is useful but don’t go crazy. Your little one will not really start playing with toys till closer to a year old.

1. Music Toys

2 Blocks / Stacking Toys

3. Sorting Toys

4. Teething Toys

5. Sensory Toys

6. Motor Toys

7. Bath Toys I love bath toys but try avoiding toys that suck water in and have any holes where water can enter. They will mold easily. I have also found foam bath letters that are nice and bath paint is a good bath toy

8.Social Toys Toys that will teach language skills. They have different stuffed animals that teach children words that are great also.

9. Soft Books

10. Picture Books Put a few different books on your registry

11. Car seat Toys

1. Nursing Cover if you get the stretchy car seat canopy it can also be used as a nursing cover, high chair cover, and a cart cover.

2. Nipple Shield Great to assist with first time breast-feeding

3. Bottles The amount you will want will depend on how often you plan to feed with a bottle.

4.  Breast Pump: Electric Pumps are great but more expensive. Hand pumps are cheaper but you have to pump your self. Each pump will work differently with everyone it is  a preference item
