New Year New You

Hey teachers, homeschoolers and parents it’s a new year, so why not try to make the best out of it! Have you thought of a New Year’s resolution? Instead of choosing a resolution that you may not be able to keep up with, why not choose one that will better you and is one that you know you will be able to uphold. This is a great time to consider working on bettering yourself by taking some early childhood professional development courses or better yet taking courses to receive your CDA — and CCEI is making it easy to do!

ChildCare Education Institute is the perfect training provider to check out for all your early childhood professional development courses for the new year — and here’s why!

Why Choose CCEI for your New Year’s Resolution?

New Year New You

When choosing a New Year resolution, like working on your professional development, CCEI offers massive benefits for your career as an ECE professional. Not sure how to set these goals and achieve them? Well, here’s how you achieve your 2020 professional development goals with CCEI’s help:

Make attainable goals

With broad goals it can be difficult to stay on track with your New Year’s resolution. Setting specific and realistic goals will help you to stay on track with what you need to accomplish to reach your goals. CCEI has education coaches readily available to help you anytime you need it.

Make a 2020 professional development plan

How will you make sure you stick with these goals? Create a schedule that maps out all the courses you’re going to take in 2020. Set an end goal — something you want to attain at the end — so you have something to work towards. To help make this process easier, CCEI offers a personalized dashboard where you can track the professional development courses you have taken. Consider your lifestyle and daily responsibilities when you’re creating your plan, so you can make the end goal attainable.

Become an expert

With over 150 courses to choose from in English and Spanish, you really have the flexibility to decide what you want to work on — you can find courses that are relevant to you and your life/career. CCEI offers courses in categories like health and safety, nutrition and food service, child development, inclusion and special needs, guidance and discipline, administration and management and so many more! Select a category that interests you and become your school’s expert in that topic. Once you’re a certified expert, your school can tout your skills on their website and social platforms.

Find accountability

Start a movement at your school and encourage your co-workers to work on their professional development along with you. Once you have achieved your attainable goals, throw a luncheon or classroom party to celebrate your successes — food makes a great incentive! Studies show, if you have accountability partners when you’re working to achieve a goal, the more likely you will follow through until the end.

Why I Love ChildCare Education Institute for My Professional Development!

I personally have taken quite a few professional development courses through CCEI. Some of these courses include CCEI110A: Indoor Safety in the Early Childhood Setting, CUR114: 21st Century Social Studies in Early Childhood Education and CUR115: Mathematical Talk and Play. They were so easy to navigate and the information was relevant to today’s ECE trends.  The information learned helps to create new and exciting lesson plans.

It doesn’t matter if you are a teacher, homeschooler or a parent. ChildCare Education Institute has courses that will be relevant to what you need. I always choose CCEI for my professional development needs — and so should you!

What to Expect When Taking a CCEI Course

On average, a course will take about an hour of your time. You will go through reading parts, answering questions, and tips to having an assessment. There is no stress to taking the assessment! There are 11 questions and you need to get at least a 70%. If you do not pass the assessment the first time around, you can take it up to 10 times thereafter until you do pass with at least a 70% or better! After passing the assessment you receive your certificate to print!

One of the many reasons I love CCEI and I keep coming back to them for my professional development needs is they want you to succeed and accomplish your goals!
