Does your little one enjoy sensory bins? I know my daughter loves doing different sensory bins! They are a great way to learn many different skills through different materials. Another plus is introducing your child to many new and different items. This water beads sensory bin activity is a great fine motor activity and a great way to have your child experiment with their imagination.
Getting Started
Materials
Now I only mentioned a couple different items to add to this but there is a universe of options. You can add pretty much anything in with this to go with what you’re studying in class or things that your children are interested in!
- Water Sensory Kit
- Measuring Cups
- Bowls
- Funnels
- Spoon
What Beads Sensory Bin
The box goes with instructions! You will need to put some beads (depending on how many you want to play with) into a bowl or container with water. Let the beads set for a couple of hours to get the desired size for the beads. This is a great time for your children to see how the beads grow and change over time! Our beads set close to 4 hours!
Once the beads are the desired size drain the remaining water. It’s now time to play!
Let your child explore with the beads. This kit comes with little kid tweezers and scooping scissors which is awesome for fine motor!
Avalynn LOVED playing with these water beads. She enjoyed putting them through the funnels and into the bowls along with scooping the beads.
This is a great activity to do with your children and it will provide hours of fun play. Once you are done with the beads you can set them out to dry then put them away to reuse them!
