Are you homeschooling your little one? Does your child love doing art projects? Coming up with what art supplies you need can be difficult. I have had many different people ask me what I use.
I have decided to compile all our favorite art and crafts supplies into this Ultimate must-have craft supply list for kids. This is the perfect guide to help you stock up on art and craft supplies.
Please keep in mind some of these items could be choking hazards for children under 3.
The Ultimate Craft List
1. Paper
There are so many different types of paper out there that you can used for your projects. Here are a couple that I recommend starting with.
Contact Paper
Contact paper is a great supply to create sun catchers. I also use contact paper to laminate items
Copy Paper
Scrap Book Paper
Scrap book paper comes in handy when doing collage projects.
Tissue Paper
2. Coloring Tools
Oh man where do you even begin when thinking of all the different coloring utensils. There are so many different options out there.. A big thing to consider is the age of your child and what exactly your alright with your little one using. For the little ones I recommend finding utensils that are larger or triangle shape so that they are easier for them to grab.
Chalk
I love these colored pencils!
These triangle crayons are perfect for little hands. They help to train your little on how to hold a writing utensil. Another plus to these triangle crayons you wont have to worry about them rolling off the table and getting lost!
Dot Markers (Dot Paint)
I absolutely love these dot markers. They are larger so they are easy for little hands to hold and they are so simple to use. This package comes with 8 different colors which is perfect for any activity. The color of these markers is bold and for the most part mess free. If there happens to be a mess they clean up very easy.
Erasers
I love the variety of colors that comes in this package!
Sharpies
Black sharpies in thin point and original.
3. Paint and Paint Supplies
This set includes 47 pieces. There are sponges, rollers and brushes for your little one to use while painting.
Finger Paint
I love that these brushes match the paint cups. They are colored to match the paint which helps so the paint colors do not mix
I love these paint cups and I feel they are a must have! They are labeled with the color that goes in them. These cups also help to prevent spills.
Most of the art projects that use paint on my page are done with tempera paint. This tempera paint has bold colors and is washable.

Glue Sticks
Using glue sticks are a great easy mess free glue for little ones to use themselves
Hot Glue/ Hot Glue Gun
Use stick dots as a quick and easy way to stick materials together.
I absolutely love tacky glue. It is stronger than normal white glue and can be used to glue thicker materials together.

5. Extras
Air Dry Clay
This is great for projects where extra items are added to the masterpiece that can not go in the oven.
This art smock is made with a great material and it is helpful with keeping your little one clean. It even comes with full length sleeves.

There are many different projects that fasteners will come in handy. One of the projects we have done that I used fasteners was the DIY Snowman advent calendar for kids
Feathers
Felt
Felt can be used on anything from art projects to felt board pieces. We love-making felt boards to go along with books that we read!
Foam Shapes
Food Coloring
Food coloring is used for many different projects. One of my favorite sensory bins Colored rice uses food coloring.
Glitter
In my house we use glitter in so many different activities from art projects to sensory activities. If you are looking for something with an easier clean up, sequins are a great alternative.
Googly Eyes

I love these alphabet stamps. They even include ink pads!
Paper Plates
You don’t want to forget to get a pencil sharpener unless your ready to sharpen your pencils by hand.
Pipe Cleaners
Home made or store bought play-dough.
These are a must for those play dough lovers!

Make sure you get the blunt end scissors. They are more kid friendly and safe.

Don’t worry about going to the store and searching for these items they are simply recycled from everyday items within your house.

Toilet paper rolls are one of my most used recycled items.

Plastic bottles are a great item to use to create sensory bottles and more.
