DIY Heart Wreath

Heart Wreath

( I used pink paint to soak the coffee filters and red paint for the edges)

This is a beautiful very simple diy Heart wreath that you can make in just an hour or so and it does not cost that much to get the materials for it. This is perfect to hang in an entry way during February. I hope you enjoy making this wreath!

Lets Make It!

Materials Needed

Acrylic Paint ( I recommend pink or red but you can do whatever color you like)

Coffee Filters

Container with a little bit of water

Cardboard 14in X 14in

Ribbon (Your preferred length)

Paint Brush

Screw Driver or something to put holes in the cardboard

Scissors

1. Start by cutting a heart out of your cardboard. I made my heart between 2.5 in and 3 in wide

Then by using your screw driver start putting holes into the cardboard. I did 3 rows all around the heart. I’m sorry I do not know how many hole there are total. You will want a hole in the top center so you can put your ribbon through it.

2. Now take your container and put water in it. You will want enough in it so the coffee filter can absorb but not to much. A little more then covering the bottom of the container should work.

Then add a couple drops of paint. Mix it till the water is completely colored

3. Put your coffee filter into the water and let it absorb the water.  You can put a few coffee filters in at the same time.

4. Take the coffee filter out and set it aside to let them dry.

5. Once they are mostly dry take your paint and paint around the edges of the coffee filter. It does not have to be perfect just get some color around the edges.

6. Once completely dry separate your coffee filters.

Twist them where the center is tiny so they will fit through the holes in your cardboard.

7. Put your ribbon through the ribbon hole.

Start inserting the coffee filters into the holes till they are all filled

Most of the coffee filters will stay in the holes by them selves but if needed use a hot glue gun to keep the filters in the holes.

Your done!! Hang your wreath up and enjoy!
