It’s that time of year where children are interested in the bunnies, chicks and Easter eggs! Are you looking for different Easter themed activities to keep the little ones busy. Here are some of my favorite Easter activities along with my favorite kid friendly way to die eggs! Enjoy!
Easter Egg Sensory
In my house we love making this sensory play. My daughter will play with it for hours. I used left over materials from my Easter Egg Wreath. You will need a large container or sensory table, Easter grass and Easter eggs.Put the grass and eggs into the container and have fun. I like to add little shovels, cups, bowls, measuring items and tongs in with the sensory play so my daughter can explore with the different materials.
You can do so many different sensory activities with eggs. Add sand with the eggs, shredded paper, water, rice or beans. There are so many endless options!
Learning Letters with Eggs
Take the eggs apart where they are in to pieces. On One piece have the upper case letter the other piece the lower case letter. Then have your child put them together. See if they are able to match the upper case letter to the lower case letter.
Stacking Eggs
This is a great STEM activity. stack the eggs count them and even create patterns with them.
Painting with Eggs
This one is so SIMPLE I love it! all you need is a shoe box, paint, eggs and a piece of paper. I shaped my piece of paper like an egg. Put your paper in the box, drop in some drops of paint add your eggs and shake the box! I prefer a shoe box with a lid to prevent the eggs from flying across the room.
Whip Cream Dyed Eggs
This is my absolute favorite way to dye eggs and it is so much easier to do with little ones.
You will need hard-boiled eggs, vinegar, whip cream and food coloring.Check out my post for directions to dye the eggs!
This is great! I bought a ton of easter eggs and my daughter loves playing with them. I bet she’ll love some of these activities. We also do egg hunts around the house a few times a week just to get the wiggles out when we can’t go outside.
