Technology

How many people use technology everyday. I know I do! As much as I hate to say this, technology has taken over. Everything in our world has something to do with technology. Our children in Elementary schools are given iPad’s that they do their homework on. Adults spend hours on their phones or computers everyday. You even go to the grocery store and you check out your items with a self check out. With so much technology around us why don’t we make it useful. If used correctly technology can teach amazing things to children. Now I am not saying to stick your child on the couch for hours with a tablet but some moderate time with technology toys will prepare them for the world we live in along with teaching them great things!

Technology Toys for Kids

I am very big on technology with children, I completely believe that if technology is used properly with time limits and parental supervision that our children could greatly benefit from it. Here is a list that I have created a list of toys that my daughter uses that I have seen her learn a lot from. These are toys we personally own and love to play with!

V- Tech Touch and Learn Activity Desk

The desk comes with two cards and you can buy more. They range in age for the games are 2-5 years. This teaches them numbers, letters shapes, colors nursery rhymes and so much more. Along with the games that this has it also can be flipped up for a chalk board or an art easel. This is an amazing toy to have for your little ones.

V-Tech Write and Learn 

This is a great toy for toddlers and preschoolers and even some younger elementary children may enjoy this. It offers a drawing board for children to be creative. It also teaches children to write letters and draw. This is a great toy to help teach pin control.

Leap Frog Leap Start Interactive Learning System

This interactive book is a great tool for our little learners. You can buy separate books that range in age from age 2-6. These interactive books teach children a variety of topics like learning letters, shapes, colors, animals and more. Avalynns favorite two books to play with are Daily Routine and  The world of baby animals. 

Leap Frog My Own Laptop

A great little laptop for our little loved ones. This laptop is a great way to help teach the alphabet. They are learning while they are having fun acting like mommy and daddy being on their computers.

Nabi 2s Tablet

This tablet has so many different things you can do with it. There is a parent login and a child login so you can really monitor what your child can access. I feel this tablet is safe for children to use because of the amount you can monitor what they do on it. It comes with pre loaded games on it all ready but you can get on and download other games also. One thing I really like about this tablet is I was able to download ABC mouse onto it. ABC Mouse is currently my daughters favorite thing to do on this tablet.

Technology for Children

Technology is not all about have a screen in front you. It is the machines that are around us, the electronic toys pretty much everything around us. So why not embrace that and introduce our children to technology.
